Helen Pidgeon is an experienced mediator. Mediation offers a neutral environment to discuss issues concerning arrangements for your children and the family’s finances following a decision to separate. We focus on what matters to you and finding workable solutions for both short term and long term arrangements.
Mediation is a very practical forum. With guidance and support we assist you to generate and explore your options in a creative and cooperative way. Different options can be canvassed and considered to see how they would work in practice on a day to day basis. It provides clarity to your situation and focuses on the future.
Helen has become very adept at providing international mediation services using video links such as Zoom/Teams so that the location of the parties is no longer a hindrance to using Mediation when parties are in different locations.
A mediator is not able to offer independent legal advice to either party. Therefore, as part of the mediation process it is often helpful for participants to have the benefit of their own legal advice so that during the mediation process you are aware of your rights and responsibilities and what you can expect to achieve. This enhances and supports the mediation process. You can either retain Helen as your mediator or if you prefer you can retain any of us as your lawyer, giving advice to you whilst you go through the mediation process whilst using another mediator to whom we can make introductions. We can discuss with you what the best option may be for you.
